Help with clothing.

With little luggage, and only a small grant, clothing will be a worry for families displaced by conflict.

As well as the ‘well loved’ clothes in the great charity shops that you will find in our area there are others less well known.

Wardrobe Foundation provide clothing to women in need of clothing support. They use donated women’s clothing and work with charities, organisations and local community groups across Dorset/BCP to deliver their clothing gift bags from their warehouse in Cranborne. They handle requests for clothing gift bags via their website. https://wardrobefoundation.co.uk/

If you are a host making a request just mention Shaftesbury Refugee Group / Host in the first page of the form that you use on their website to make a request.

The Kids Clothes Exchange at Bell Street Church SP7 8AL every Wednesday, 9.00 - 10.30 can help with the needs of growing children from newborn to 14 . No need to worry if the first time you don't have any clothes to exchange. If the need is very urgent Natalie Kay from the Exchange can help on 07739473059.

The Honesty Jar at Henstridge run by The Bearcatcollective can help with clothing and many other household items and has a ‘pay what you can or what it’s worth’ approach, the ‘honesty’ principle.
